Finding your way around
Back to the guide
The sidebar
Everything starts from the sidebar on the left.
| What it is for | |
|---|---|
| Screener | Deals. Upload teasers and CIMs, see how each scored, record a verdict. |
| CRM | Companies, people, opportunities, and anything else you choose to track. |
| Tasks | Your follow-ups and the team's, grouped by what is overdue and due. |
| Emails | Write, send, and pick up drafts. Hidden if your role cannot connect a mailbox. |
| Reports | Dashboards built from your own data. |
| Data | The directory of banker firms and their contacts. |
Emails appears only if you can connect a mailbox, which viewers cannot. If you expected it and it is not there, your role is the reason. See Roles.
The top bar
The top bar shows where you are, as a trail you can click back along. On a record page it names the record rather than its identifier, so the trail reads as CRM, then Accounts, then the company name.
The bell collects notifications: tasks falling due, mentions, requests waiting on you. A dot means there is something unread.
Settings
Settings is where the firm is configured rather than used. What you can open depends on your role.
| What it covers | |
|---|---|
| Team | The people in your firm, their roles, and invitations. |
| Scoring rules | Your buy box. Changing it creates a new version, so old scores stay reproducible. |
| Access and permissions | Restricting objects, lists and records to chosen people and teams. |
| Connecting Gmail or Outlook, the firm's filters, and what colleagues can see of each other's mail. | |
| Calendar | Connecting a calendar so meetings are logged against records. |
| API keys | Keys for software that talks to Deeluge on your firm's behalf. |
| Connected apps | Applications you have allowed to act for you, and a way to revoke them. |
Light and dark
Deeluge follows your system setting, and you can override it. The choice is stored against your account, so it follows you between devices rather than being set again on each one.
Tables
Most screens are tables, and they behave consistently.
- Column widths can be dragged, and are remembered.
- Rows per page is a preference on your account, not a per-screen setting.
- Long lists load as you scroll. The first hundred rows arrive immediately and the next hundred load when you reach the bottom, so a list of several thousand opens as quickly as a short one.
- Filtering happens on the server, so filtering a large list does not depend on how much of it you have scrolled through.
