Dashboards

Back to the guide

Reports in the sidebar. Counts, totals and averages of your CRM records, as charts.

There is one built-in Overview, and you can build as many dashboards as you need, each holding as many reports as you need.

One thing to understand first

Every number only counts records you are allowed to open.

Two people looking at the same shared dashboard can legitimately see different numbers, if one of them cannot see some restricted records. That is correct behaviour, but it will confuse somebody in a meeting if they do not know it. Worth saying out loud the first time a shared dashboard is used.

The Reports page

Three sections:

  • Overview — the built-in dashboard, always there
  • Your dashboards — ones you created, each showing its name, how many reports it holds, and whether it is Private or Shared with firm
  • Shared with you — dashboards colleagues shared, with who made them. Only shown when there is at least one

Select a card to open it. While a dashboard is open the top bar reads Reports › [name], and selecting Reports goes back.

Creating one

  1. Select New dashboard at the top right.
  2. Type a Name.
  3. Leave Share with my firm unticked to keep it private, or tick it so everyone can open it. You can change this later.
  4. Select Create.

The new, empty dashboard opens.

Who can do what

Owner, admin Analyst Viewer
Open Overview and shared dashboards yes yes yes
Create dashboards, add reports to their own yes yes
Edit or delete a dashboard someone else shared yes
Share or unshare only its creator only its creator

Sharing stays with the creator even for owners and admins. They can edit and delete someone else's shared dashboard, but not change whether it is shared.

Managing a dashboard

Rename with the pencil next to the name. Enter or selecting elsewhere saves; Escape cancels.

Share with firm / Make private — only the creator sees this. The label by the name shows which it is.

Delete removes the dashboard and every report on it, and cannot be undone.

On a dashboard someone shared with you, a line under the title says who shared it.

Arranging reports

Each report has buttons at its top right:

  • Move earlier and Move later — the order saves straight away
  • Edit — reopens its settings
  • Delete — asks first, then removes that report

Selecting a bar, or a table row, on a report grouped by a select, status or multiselect field opens that object's table filtered to those records. That is the quickest route from a number to the records behind it.

The Overview

The built-in dashboard, with two dropdowns at the top right: which pipeline field to use, shown as Object · Field, and the period — last 7, 30 or 90 days.

It shows:

  • Summary tiles for the period: records created per object, calls and meetings, notes and emails, and tasks completed with how many open ones are overdue
  • Pipeline: every record of the chosen object as it stands today, one bar per option. Select a bar to open those records
  • Activity by person: per colleague, records created, calls, meetings and notes logged, emails sent, and tasks completed

Email counts follow the firm's email visibility setting. At the most restrictive level you only see your own.
