Forms

Coming soon. Forms is not open yet. Settings → Forms shows Soon beside its name and opens a page saying Forms is coming soon, for everyone, owners included. Form links do not open, and the API does not take form requests. This page describes Forms as it will work once it is released.
Settings → Forms, for owners, admins and analysts. A form is a page anyone can fill in — linked from an email, or embedded in your website — that creates or updates a record in your CRM.
Making one
New form, give it a name and choose the object submissions go to. It opens in the builder with your object's name and email fields already on it.
The builder has a live preview on the right; click any field in it to edit that field.
Fields
- Add a field offers every field of the object a form can fill in. Relationship and workspace-user fields are not offered.
- For each field: the question, a placeholder, help text, required, full or half width, a long answer box for text, dropdown or radio buttons for options, and which options to offer.
- Hidden field sets a value on every submission without asking, such as Source = Website.
- Fill in from the page address lets a link fill the answer in:
…/f/abc123?email=jane@example.com. - Add headings, text and dividers to break a long form up.
- To change the order, press anywhere on a row in the Fields list (the dotted handle at its left shows it can move), drag it up or down, and let go. The preview follows straight away. Press Escape mid-drag to put it back. Dragging needs a mouse or trackpad; rows cannot be reordered from the keyboard or on a touch screen yet.
Fields your CRM requires are required on the form too, and a form cannot be published until it asks for all of them.
If it already exists: choose Update the match to update, say, the contact with the same email rather than adding a duplicate.
Design
Start from a theme — Classic, Midnight, Sand, Forest, Editorial or Terminal — then change anything: the six colours, light or dark, the text and heading fonts, text size, corners, the style of fields and the button, the button's position, card or plain layout, spacing, width, shadow, a logo and a cover image. The builder warns you when a colour pair would be hard to read.
Settings
The title and introduction people see, the button's words, the thank-you message (or a page to send people to instead), a list to add each record to, and when to close: on a date, or after a number of submissions.
Sharing
Publish opens the form's link. Share shows:
- the link;
- an embed code for your website. The frame grows with the form, so there is never a second scroll bar;
- a link with answers filled in, if any field allows it.
Close stops new responses and shows your closing message; Reopen starts again. Unpublish takes it back to a draft.
Responses
Responses lists every submission, newest first, and downloads them as a CSV. A submission that could not be saved — say, it matched two records — is kept and marked Not saved, so nothing anyone typed is lost.
Each submission also fires a form.submitted event, so an
outgoing webhook can post it to Slack or anywhere else.
Spam
Forms ignore bots that fill in hidden fields or submit faster than a person can, and limit how often one address can submit.
What you cannot do yet
- Upload files through a form.
- Show questions depending on earlier answers, or split a form into pages.
- Be notified in the bell about new responses; use a webhook meanwhile.
