Workspaces
Back to the guide
A workspace is one firm's Deeluge: its deals, CRM, lists, emails, team and settings. One sign-in can belong to several workspaces, for example the firm you work at and a company you advise. You see one at a time, and your role is set separately in each, so you can be an owner in one and a viewer in another.
Switching workspace
- Select the workspace name at the top left. The workspace menu opens.
- If you belong to more than one workspace, they are listed under your email address, up to five of them. The one you are in has a check mark.
- Select another workspace's name. Deeluge reloads on that workspace's home page, and everything you see is now that workspace's.
All workspaces, under the list, opens a page with every workspace you belong to and your role in each. Select Open next to one to switch to it.
When you sign in, Deeluge opens the workspace you joined first. The workspace belongs to your sign-in, not to a browser tab, so other open tabs switch too the next time they load a page.
Asking for a new workspace
Anyone signed in can ask for a workspace of their own. Deeluge approves each one.
- Select the workspace name at the top left, then New workspace.
- Under Create a workspace, type the Workspace name. Optionally say What is it for?
- Select Request workspace. The request shows under Your requests as Waiting for approval.
- You are emailed when it is decided. Once approved, the workspace appears in your workspace menu with you as its Owner. It starts with an empty CRM, and you are its only member until you invite your team.
You can have one request waiting at a time.
Joining another firm's workspace
Workspaces are joined by invitation only. Nobody can search for a firm or ask to join one.
- Ask an owner or admin of that workspace to invite your email address from Settings → Team.
- Open the link in the invitation email.
- If you are not signed in, select Sign in to join and sign in with the invited address. You come back to the invitation.
- Select Join followed by the firm's name. Deeluge opens that workspace, with the role the invitation gave you. Your other workspaces stay as they are.
If you are signed in with a different address, the page says so. Select Sign out and switch account, then sign in with the invited one.
What you cannot do yet
- Withdraw a request once it is sent.
- Leave a workspace yourself. An owner or admin removes you from Settings → Team.
- See two workspaces at once, or move records between them.
