When something goes wrong
Back to the guide
Very occasionally a page fails to load in your browser. Instead of a blank page, Deeluge then shows a screen with its logo and the heading Something went wrong.
What to do
- Select Reload page. This loads the page again from scratch, and usually fixes it. The most common cause is a browser tab that was opened before a new version of Deeluge went out; reloading picks up the new version.
- If it keeps happening, select Contact Support. A new email opens in your mail app, already addressed to support@deeluge.com, with the subject Deeluge support: something went wrong. It already holds the page you were on, the time, and an error reference. Add a line about what you were doing, and send it.
The error reference
Under the buttons you may see Error reference followed by a short code. It lets support find exactly what failed. It appears only when the error came from Deeluge's servers rather than from your browser.
What the email does and does not include
The email carries only the page address, the time and the error reference. It never includes the error's own message, because that can quote the contents of a deal document or someone's email address.
What you cannot do yet
- Contact Support needs an email app set up on your computer. There is no support form inside Deeluge yet.
- The screen cannot say what went wrong or fix it for you. If reloading does not help, contact support.
